Diligent Hands Preschool was birthed to meet the needs of parents who expressed a desire for a service that exemplifies love, patience and personalize care in the shaping of little minds while preparing them for kindergarten.
Early Childhood/Kindergarten Program
Diligent Hands Preschool was birthed to meet the needs of parents who expressed a desire for a service that exemplifies love, patience and personalize care in the shaping of little minds while preparing them for junior elementary.
Camps
Diligent Hands Abike Montessori Academy also hold Christmas, Easter and Summer camps for children in St. Kitts who are unable to attend their own preschool/childcare centre during these breaks. We are open year round and offer the same love and attention to our camp children as we do during our regular programs. The Lower Elementary Program – Full Day
The Lower Elementary Program comprise of Grade 1, Grade 2, and Grade 3.
The Lower Elementary curriculum includes: Advance Practical Life, Mathematics, Language Arts, Cultural and Science, Geography, Botany, Zoology, History and Conflict Resolution. In addition there are several science activities and experiments.

Curriculum
Practical Life
These are the first exercises introduced to the children. They create the foundation upon which all other work in the classroom depends. Practical Life exercises include care of self and the environment, as well as the development of large and fine motor control.
Cultural & Science
· These lessons allow the child to explore and discover their environment and the world as a whole. It includes studies in History, Botany, Zoology, Geography and Physical Science.

Sensorial
These assist the child in organizing and simplifying the learning experience. It creates an awareness of the environment and encourages mastery through repetition. Sensorial exercises also strengthen and refine each of the child’s senses and pincer grasp.
Mathematics
In helping in the organization of the mathematical mind, the materials expose the world of numbers through counting games and material that gives the child concrete tactile experiences.
Language
The Language materials encourage refinement and enrichment as the initial steps on the road to writing and reading and enhances the explosion of words that aid speech development.
Grace and Peace
Good manners and respect for others are essential qualities for a child to cultivate in the early years of life. The child will learn which behaviors are acceptable and which are not.
