Abike Joseph
Abike Joseph is a childcare professional with over 25 years of experience. She is the Co-Founder and Principal of Diligent Hands Childcare Center and Diligent Hands Abike Montessori Academy. Abike has a passion for caring for children and the elderly ever since she was a teenager. This desire led her to become a nurse and she later enrolled at the Georgetown Public Hospital where that desire grew as she was further exposed to administering love and care to children. After migrating to St. Kitts, she worked in several programs, homeschooling and caring for infants and toddlers using the traditional methods of teaching . She also worked briefly in a private school environment where she developed a love for the Montessori Method of teaching. It was then that she decided that the Montessori Method was the preferred way of teaching. In addition to diplomas in Child Daycare Management, Abike is a graduate of the North American Montessori Center in Canada. Her favorite statement “LOVE NEVER FAILS,” has been the foundation that Diligent Hands Abike Montessori Academy was built on.
Clairmon Joseph
Clairmon Joseph is the Co-Founder and Administrator of Diligent Hands Childcare Center and Abike Montessori Academy, and is also a security professional with over 36 years of experience. He served in the Guyana Defense Force as a Lieutenant and also held several managerial positions in Operations and Intelligence, Industrial Security, Airline Security, Child Protection, Close Protection (Body Guard), Resort and Marina Security. He has attended courses conducted by the United States Department of Justice Immigration and Naturalization Service , Citizenship and Immigration Canada and The United States Customs. Clairmon understands through experience, that children learning in a secured environment, generally outperform those who learn in a less secured one. He has conducted several security and fire prevention surveys, has been involved in contingency planning for natural disasters and once held the appointment as Situation Manager ( Hurricane) at Christophe Harbour Development Company. His network includes strong ties with law enforcement professionals locally both governmental and private. This has given him a strong awareness of childcare security needs and security in general.
Miracle Joseph
Miracle was born in Georgetown Guyana but raised in St Kitts. She is a graduate from The Washington Archibald High School where she became a member of the Seven-Up Club. Miracle’s love for children from an early age motivated her to Join Diligent Hands Abike Montessori Academy where she fell in love with the Montessori method of teaching. Miracle is a trained Montessori teacher and is responsible for the Year 1 Preschool Program.
